Angie’s Curves – 2013 IDF World Cup – Schedule of Events, Spectator Information, and Volunteer Signup
Micah Green takes a practice run with AJ Haiby and Kyle Wester at the 2013 Newton’s Nation. If you missed the action of the first IDF World Cup, you can still check out all the race heats from start to finish.
The recent spring Maryhill Freeride was blessed with consistent tail winds all weekend, so the hill was unusually fast and the pack riding was a little more subdued. Still, there was plenty of the silliness and sketchiness that the event is known for, so sit back and enjoy this compilation of clips Madrid put together. Special thanks to Scoot, Cord Brown, and Lee Gilmar for the additional footage.
“In 1977, a small group of elite downhill skaters took over the City Of Avalon to participate in the original ‘Catalina Classic’. A 250 yard downhill race course tucked in the hills of an exotic little island located just 26 miles offshore, yet a world away from the rat race just across the channel. These skaters, along with this event have inspired generations of riders and largely contributed to the lifestyle synonymous with our part of the World. With a huge nod of respect to the originals of downhill skating – Riviera Skateboards and our closest friends presents, The 2013Catalina Island Classic on May 4th-5th, 2013. A weekend long island skate invasion featuring a 1.2 mile, invitation only downhill race event with a cash purse of $7500.” – Riviera Skateboards
Muir Skate held their 2013 Downhill Disco last month. It was rad, as expected, with dudes flying through the air and getting broke off. Here’s some pictures.
If you missed the action of the first IDF World Cup, you can still check out all the race heats from start to finish.

The females in our sport that are always wondering about our lack event coverage concerning the women’s division. We decided to film their final heat while whilst in Australia. Matt K followed the ladies down the WW3 Outlaw track.
“The Muir Skate Downhill Disco gets groovier every year! Fun obstacles, massive launch ramps, and some throwback outfits to match the mood! Daniel Luna took down 1st Place in the slide contest, Louis Pilloni sped into a 3rd Place finish in the Obstacle Course timed race, and Ross Druckrey handily flew into 3rd Place in the Big Air. Good showing boys!” -Sector 9
The 2013 Muir Skate Downhill Disco went smooth as
silk polyester, complete with 70′s attire. Follow Daniel Luna as he takes a run down the feature-strewn hill. Congratulations to Dan Couch for winning the big air contest, Will Royce for taking the time-trial race, and Daniel Luna for getting the top spot at the slide jam.
