Hicks on Sticks

Next Sunday April 29th, at the Newport Beach Film Festival, is the world premiere of Hicks on Sticks featuring Kebbek’s own Ian Comishin. Don’t miss out. PM Skateboards is what Kebbek came from.

“In 1999, skateboard company owner, Ian Comishin, embarked on a journery in the unknown. He organized a tour with his skateboard team and 2 bands to travel across western Canada putting on shows in small towns. With financial sponsorship dropping out at the last minute and Ian’s willingness to dive into company debt, it all unfolds, propelling him to an end he never anticipated.”

Flashback: Rolling With Dubes

Before the SkateHouse was “the SkateHouse,” it was a quiet place home to three skaters: James Kelly, Louis Pilloni, and Brent “Dubes” Dubendorff.  Dubes’s style is to go fast.  Skateboards, motorcycles, anything that goes fast: he’s probably into it.

Louie filmed this video of Dubes shredding a very familiar run two years ago, getting rad wearing nothing but board-shorts.  Does he pay for it in the end?  Let’s just say… you’re just going to have to watch to find out!

Big shout out to Dubes – without him the SkateHouse wouldn’t be what it is today!  Dubes reps Paris Truck Co and Divine Wheels

Don’t you love those old videos of people skating when they were first starting off? Check out this video still floating around youtube of James bombing mountains back in 2007. Yes, he’s grabbing stink bug. Its amazing how far the sport has come in a few years.
