Big Dave Mic’d Up at the Slap

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting “Big” Dave Tannaci, even just once, you know you’ll never forget his awesome personality nor his delicious vocabulary.  He is always positive, always having fun, and always encouraging everyone else to do the same.  Look at the size of that grin, even after getting slapped hard!

If you’re looking to learn a little more about Big Dave, be sure to check out the interview he recently did with Marcus Bandy over at Wheelbase Magazine.

Dave Angelus on His Home Turf

Thumbnail photo by Alex Jaquez

“This year is time to get shit done and I am on a mission. This is just the start of the gnar that is going to go down this year. I’m really wanting to push the sport that we love and show people what I am all about, which is having fun and shredding. The scene here is growing and there are a lot of kids that are getting stoked on riding. I decided on having a little contest here in town. A campus push race, and mini-ramp jam on my ramp, and a race to marble brewery for a bar tab. It should be a lot fun and i’ve told people and they are getting stoked. Anything is possible if you just put your mind to it and the sky is the limit. Lets push things together buddy. My mind is set on it and there is nothing stopping me now. Tell everyone out there YEAH BUDDY for me and we’ll be talking soon. Much love and peace out.” – Dave Angelus

The message says it all. It’s all about the passion and love for skateboarding.

The Madagascar Gnar

We took a quick trip to Madagascar last week and got a rowdy crew together for the sole purpose of leaving some urethane behind on one of our favorite hills.  The birds were chirping, sun was shining, and gnar was definitely shredded!  Check it out.

Best of 2010: Part 1

Skate House Media was started in January 2010 to provide an inside view into part of the downhill skateboard community. A year has gone by with over 160 original videos, countless photos, and epic community content (who could forget Double Pendy?). We’re looking forward to 2011, but first let’s take a quick look back at part of 2010.

Sessions: Guns & Skateboarding

A few weeks ago, the SkateHouse crew took a trip up to Santa Barbara to meet up with a big crew of Southern California locals. Rounds were fired, gnar was shredded, and everyone had a great time.
