Rayne: Designing Patrick Switzer’s Fortune
Patrick Switzer is known for being one of the fastest men in downhill. The 2011 world cup series champion joined Rayne in 2012 looking for a family to ride with and some Rayne innovation under his feet.

The Rock Wall Corner
If you watch skatehouse on a regular basis, you know we’re quite fond of a particular one-way downhill canyon road.
Most hills that people skate all the time end up with named turns. Lookout has the Gooch; Maryhill has Cowzer’s, Ambulance Turn, and spaghetti; GMR has Dead Man’s, Second Gear, Lehman’s, and more; Z-Bomb has the speed-hole and the switchbacks; you get the idea.
So far, our favorite run has only one turn with a name: the Rock Wall Left, creatively named for the rock wall you hit if you drift out wide. (more…)

First Look: IDF Rules
Kevin Reimer leads Jackson Shapeira and Zak Maytum into a left turn in the final heat of last month’s “Formula 1″ race in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Kevin, an active racer, is on the board of the IDF.
After reading the summary on the IDF site, I coughed up the thirty bucks and took a look at the IDF’s draft rules. They answered a lot of the questions I had and look pretty solid to me. Here’s what you need to know.
