Ethan Cochard
Boomtown skate stylist Ethan Cochard came down to California a couple weeks ago for the Muir Skate Downhill Disco and some runs in the sunshine. We had an appreciative audience for a sidewalk session near the skatehouse; so Aaron Breetwor grabbed the camera and snapped this photo.

David Strebel and Jonathan Douglas
Jonathan Douglas and I were out taking photos a couple weeks ago when we ran into this random kid hanging out at the bottom of an intensely steep hill we’d never skated before. We gave him a ride up the hill and took a couple runs to warm up, then shot a few photos before sending him on his way.
It turns out that his name is David Strebel, he’s from New York City, and he was out in California visiting colleges. Despite the lack of big hills in his hometown, dude handled the hill with confidence and style, sliding every which way, riding switch and confirming my suspicion that everyone is really good now. Assuming he winds up in California this fall, I expect to see much more of this kid.

Visitor: Kyle Martin
Landyachtz ripper, Kyle Martin, has be pushing his board sideways downhills for years. Hailing from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Kyle is a fierce competitor but doesn’t let competitions get in way of having a chill time. He’s always down to skate the most burly spots and then just lurk out.

Visitors Mack & Vince
One of the beautiful things about skateboarding is the global community. Two German street skaters, Mack Mackelton and Vincent Heller, got in touch with Skate House through a friend at the Arbor Shop. They were in town looking to skate and enjoy the California winter. What was supposed to be a day turned into a month and by the end of it they’d tackled some pretty serious hills.

Visitor: Dillon Stephens
Landyachtz ripper, Dillon Stephens, packed up his gear on his DR-Z400 and headed south for as long as the boarder would let him. While we skated more then we filmed, you can tell from the clips we got that Prince Dillon knows how to ride a skateboard. Still not sure how he fell at the end of the video but we all have those moments.
