Session: Angie’s Curves

With Angie’s Curves only a few weeks away, the Sector 9 crew and friends have been spending time out at the event venue planning and preparing for the race. Rocks, brush, and spectators areas are being cleared to make way for the 2,500 hay-bails and safety netting. While not confirmed yet there is rumor to be a $9,999 dollar prize purse for open.

Raw Run: Louis Pilloni

Last year, the Sector 9 crowd went on an extensive Europe Trip. During the travels the group skated a lot of particularily fascinating downhill roads, but this one takes the cake. Apparently this eminence was Martin Siegrist‘s secret hill for a couple years. That is, until he told Patrick Switzer about it. Show this to your folks, they may be concerned about safety whilst downhill skateboarding. Watch Louis nail every line and even footbreak to show upcoming vehicules that he is in control. Here is a session that went down on one of the gnarliest roads out there. Housemate Louis Pilloni embraces the chunder with Madrid‘s Sammy Hasselberg & Jimmy Riha. Gullwing & Sector Nine rider Ross Druckrey is also suitable for some cheese grater asphalt shredding.

The downhill crew is gathering in Australia. Louis and James landed yesterday, Matts been globe trotting all over the far east and now they are in Sydney preparing for Newtons Nation hosted by the IDF. Check out this quick clip of Louis fresh out of the airplane.

Session: Backside Haze

Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side. When the front side was soaked with fog, the crew traveled over the top for some dry runs. Always nice when you can skate 50+ miles of downhill with just a few runs. Rad session with locals and OG skater Jesse Martinez and Dan Levi of Juice Magazine.
