Straight-edge Matt moved into the Skate House several weeks ago. We went to ride some mountain roads with James Kelly shortly after his arrival.
Several months ago Matt slid out on a narrow right-hand turn, falling several feet and landing on his back atop a boulder. He was unable to feel his left butt-cheek for several weeks after the accident. He’s okay now.
Last summer, Matt threw three well-attended outlaw races near his parents’ home in Quebec. This winter, he’s doing switch 180s through steep, rough California hairpins.
