Arbor, Blood Orange and Caliber rider Tyler Howell keeps it simple with black, red and white in equal measures. Peyragudes.
In skateboarding, looking good is almost as important as being good. You don’t have to do the craziest tricks, but if you can stick to the basics and look like a boss, you’re solid.
Riding in leathers is never going to look as cool as riding in everyday street clothes, but they can be pretty badass in their own way. If you do it right and maintain a coherent color scheme, your race day gear can make you look like a futuristic space ninja. These guys and girls are doing it right.
Adam Persson’s blue and yellow Swedish Flag color scheme is bright and instantly recognizable. Extra bonus points for making his upcoming pro-model RAD wheel blue with a yellow core. RDVX should make a special Adam Persson pack with blue and yellow grip so he can get fully swagged out.
Not quite sure who this is, but everything is rasta down to the footstop and the label on his sneakers. Killing the game. Peyragudes.
Patrick Switzer earns extra bonus points for ensuring that his surroundings and competitors match his blue and orange color scheme. Making it Rayne at Peyragudes.
Jimmy Riha with the black/white/yellow/red at Angie’s. I like this suit with the Sector 9, RAD, and RDVX patches a lot better than his old brown one.
Byron Essert looking tough with a blood-spatter paint job on his helmet at Angie’s.
Kevin “White Lighting” Reimer has had white suits for years. Good to see him keeping this White/red/black thing going with a carbon helmet and white sneakers. Bonus Switzer in the background with orange and blue sneakers.
Not quite sure who this is, but they’re looking very Kill Bill at Almatrieb.
RAD, Sector, and RDVX rider Connor Ferguson really should paint his helmet, but I’ll let it slide because the socks are on point. Peyragudes.
Landyachtz rider Elena Corrigall on her way to winning the Almatrieb women’s final in gray, teal neon green and blue.
Madrid/Venom rider Zak Maytum has been committed to his split black/red colorway since 2007.
Rayne‘s Justin Readings keeps it black and yellow like Wiz Khalifa.
Landyachtz‘s Riley Harris rocking blue and teal down to the wheels.
Venom team rider Chip Wood’s distinctive, retina-searing dayglo orange and green combination is good for visibility on open roads.
Unless you choose some crazy-ass color scheme, making all your gear match is pretty easy. All you have to do is paint your helmet to match your leathers and find some sneakers that work with it. A little effort goes a long way toward looking cool on the internet, and isn’t that why we do this?
