While the skatehouse is best known for our downhill abilities, we skate everything we can find, from backyard pools to skateparks to the odd street spot.
You don’t see much of our non-downhill skating here on the website because (a) we’re not especially good at riding that stuff, and (b) you can see dudes shredding on any number of other websites. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t out there hitting the spots.
A lot of talented downhill skaters are reluctant to ride parks with us because they’re not very good and don’t want to get in the way. While nobody wants to look like a dork, it’s more fun to skate than to stand around on the deck like a cool guy. Go skate when there aren’t many people around. Start in the flat and get rad.
There’s a lot of fun to be had on different terrain. Do you like finding lines, going fast through corners, and mashing powerslides? Try bowl skating and grind some coping. Big into breaking traction and sliding? Go find a ledge or double-sided curb and boardslide the shit out of it. All about longboard dancing? Get on a double-kick and learn how to do those newfangled ollie kickflips. Or don’t. It’s just skateboarding. Have fun with it.
